Where is the Fire or Smoke Curtain being mounted?
Is it going to be fitted inside an opening or a door way or as an ‘in fit’?
Is it going to be mounted to a flat wall covering a doorway ‘surface mounted’?
What is it being mounted on?
What material is the curtain being mounted on; brick, timber, plasterboard?
Is the top of the curtain being fixed to the roof or is there a suspended roof the bottom of the curtain box needs to be mounted on?
How large is the curtain?
The more detail given at this stage the better we can quote your job. From the overall dimensions (in meters or millimetres) we can quickly produce your custom fire curtain so we need the height and width of the overall unit. Extra detail like suspended ceiling heights is also needed so that a unit can be produced to fit flush with the ceiling.
Is it a Smoke or a Fire Curtain?

Is this curtain for a Residential or Commercial Building?
This can help us assess the environment the curtain will be fitted in and help you select the correct product. This includes details like what floor you would like the curtain on what access there is to the floor.
What finish is required on your product?
Our Smoke and Fire curtains can be Zintec finished (as standard), Powder coated or produced in Stainless Steel. The colour is applied to the hood, bottom rails and side guides of our units. The powder coating can be to any standard RAL colour.
Do you want the motor on the left or right hand side?
This is dictated by where you want the control panel for the curtain, as the motor will be at the same end of the unit as the control panel.
Connection to your current fire alarm system
Smoke and fire curtains Ltd control panels require a 24V normally closed volt free contact to operate our units.
Would you like any additional Smoke or Heat Detectors?
We also supply a range of approved smoke and heat detectors as well as alarm’s and beacons. If you would like any additional units with your fire curtain please feel free to ask.
